Marco Broccardo

I am a Postdoctoral Researcher and Lecturer at the Swiss Competence Center for Energy Research, at ETH Zürich (Switzerland). In addition, I am affiliated with the Chair of Structural Dynamics and Earthquake Engineering of the ETH Zurich, and the Swiss Seismological Service (SED). My research interests focus on developing computational probabilistic and statistical tools for system reliability analysis, earthquake engineering, and stochastic dynamics. Currently, I am engaged in three main research projects:

1. probabilistic characterization of fluid-induced seismicity
2. Hamiltonian Monte Carlo for rare event estimations
3. probabilistic system resilience analysis
