Collaboration and Networks

IBK, D-BAUG and the ETH Risk Center are at the center of SDEE Chair collaboration effort spiral.

Ongoing and past projects with Prof. Chatzi, Prof. Anastasopoulos, Dr. Mojsilović, Prof. Sudret and Prof. Vassilou, and joint doctoral student supervision with Prof. Frangi focus on seismic performance of structures, seismic response modification, and use of hybrid simulation.

ETH Risk Center collaboration with Prof. Embrechts, Prof. Wiemer, Prof. Bommier, Prof. Heinimann and Prof. Sansavini focus on systemic seismic risk assessment and resilience modeling and evaluation.

Exchanges of models and data, as well as doctoral thesis reviews, with external pageProf. Beyercall_made’s and external pageProf. Lignoscall_made’ groups at external pageEPFLcall_made extend the collaboration circle.

The senior members of the SDEE Chair have strong collaboration networks in Swiss industry as well as in European and world-wide academic and code-making institutions.

These links are maintained through short-term visits and joint projects, such as the ETH-Singapore Future Resilient Systems or the Horizon2020, SERA and RISE projects.
